Eventful weekend

Why is it that when you want to take some time and relax, maybe go to the park and have a picnic, maybe find some ducks to feed at the pond.....things never work out the way you want them to. What we thought was going to be a relaxing weekend turned into a labor intensive sweat fest. Our neighbor decided that saturday was the day that he had to finish tearing down the fence between our two properties. And of course we couldn't let him do it all by himself, we had to help. :) So we tore down the fence, drilled new holes for posts, set the posts in concrete and heck while we're at it lets rip up our cracked up patio and level the piles of dirt in the backyard that were left over from some old plumbing work. When all was said and done my dh and the neighbor hauled just shy of 3 tons of concrete to the dump. Now when I look out into my backyard I no longer see a cracked up patio. I see mounds and mounds of dirt and sand that will hopefully one day turn into a nice green lawn. Maybe even a new patio one of these days.
