These kids can catch some serious air.

Falling

Driving Jaz to school this morning is when I noticed it. It was 23 degrees outside and finally the trees said they've had enough! The leaves were falling like crazy! There was a slight breeze and the leaves were falling in buckets! They coated the road, the rooftops, the lawns, the sidewalks. It was pretty fun to watch the leaves falling so fast and furious. I give it an hour and all the leaves in the neighborhood will be off the trees. I wish I could have gotten it on video.

Things that irritate me

Let see....where shall we start the list today? Oh I know! How about the ped's office that won't return my phone calls! I called them twice yesterday because I was called by the school nurse yesterday morning because Jazmin had red cheeks. Jaz appears to be fine. No fever and she feels fine. Just red cheeks. The school nurse was going to monitor her. The ped's office has a answering machine set up where everytime you call in you have to leave a message and wait for a phone call back from them. A few weeks ago when I had to reschedule Jacey's appt I called and left a message at 8 in the morning and finally got a return call at 5 that night. Well yesterday I called twice and I never did get a return call! That really peaves me! Don't get me wrong. I LOVE my dr and his nurses....but his office staff could take a flying leap for all I care. They are so mean, rude and inconciderate! And trying to move to a different dr's office is next to impossible. No one is taking new patients except newborns. Especially during cold and flu season. I might be able to get one kiddo on the wait list for someone new but I highly doubt I'd be able to get 3 kids on the wait list. When we first moved down here Jaz was only 6 months old and I think it took her 6 months to be able to be seen by the dr. I really dislike the way the dr's offices are run down here. By the time Jaz got home from school yesterday the red cheeks had turned into a rash on her chest, shoulders and back. The only thing she complained about was the itch. So we gave her some benadryl and she was good. After searching the net yesterday I'm convinced that she has fifths disease. And once the rash shows up she's no longer contageous. She had no other symptoms until the red cheeks showed up. So since she's no longer contageous, I sent her to school today with a note and strict instructions to go to the nurses office if anything changes. Sigh..... Sorry for the rambling today. I'm just really frustrated.

Veterans Day

Happy Veterans Day! This is the one and only picture I've got of the veterans day parade on Saturday. That's our bike trailer that I decorated. All with the cricut! The sign says Tornado Alley BMX. The stars and the bmx rider were cut out on the cricut too. Jacey and Phoenix rode in the trailer with Daddy pulling it on his bike. Jaz rode her bike and passed out candy. I wasn't there because I had to work. :( We later heard from the parade officials that Tornado Alley won first place for their entry. They should be getting a trophy for that at a later date. Speaking of trophies..... Jaz got her first trophy on Saturday's afternoon race. 3rd place!!! Woohoo!!! She's lovin riding at the track. Her chest protector came in the mail on friday and she wore it to the race saturday. It was all nice and pretty, shiny and new.....until she took a spill and broke it in real good. The chest protector did it's job and Jaz bounced right back up and said it didn't hurt. She's such a tomboy. Couldn't even keep it girly for a day. LOL Now it's all covered up with scratches. :) She's got another race tonight (if the weather cooperates) and I'll have to take a pic of her in her gear with her trophy.

Gran

Poor Gran!!! She called me yesterday and told me of her terrible week. She fell down at work and broke her wrist. She's in a half cast right now and will get a full size one put on soon. The swelling is terrible! Grandpa Steve ended up in the hospital too! He was having some heart problems. That's more than enough craziness for one week you two!!!! You better start behaving yourself so I'll come up there!! :D In all seriousness, I hope you two heal up as good as new as quickly as possible. Love you guys!

Another race

Jaz had another race last night. They have 3 races a night. She got 3rd, 3rd, and 3rd. So I guess it would be safe to say that she got 3rd. :) She fell at practice but she didn't fall during any of her races. Woohoo!! Way to go Jaz! I purchased a chest protector for her off of ebay and it should be here this week. So then the falls won't hurt as badly. Still thinkin about that bubble wrap idea though. :) Daddy even got brave and raced too. He got 4th, 4th and 4th. It's fun to watch all the Dad's race. He's pretty sore today. I'm betting he'll be even more sore tomorrow. All the kids from the track are going to be in the Veterans Day parade on Saturday. Rob is going to take the two youngest ones in the bike trailer. Jaz is going to ride her bike. I unfortunately have to work. :( I need to decorate the trailer in red, white, and blue. Hmmm, wonder if I can find any cricut cuts of BMX riders. Must look for that! And we'll get to unload the 18 million pounds of halloween candy that we have because we have to bring candy to pass out. So that will be good. I'll keep y'all updated on the trailer decorations.

Happy Halloween

We continued with our yearly tradition of going to the mall for trick or treating. This year we had two cheetahs, complete with whiskers, ears and tails, a piglet, a BMX picture taking daddy, and........ a WASHING MACHINE!!!!!! LOL Great fun was had by all. :D
