It's 11:45 pm.....

Do you know what your co2 level is in your house? I do!!! It's 10 parts per million. Not a whole lot, but enough to make the carbon monoxide detector go off. For those of you that don't know, this is the second time that this has happened to our family. The first time was in 2004 when the co2 levels were in the 400+ parts per million. At 100+ the fire dept has to put on hazard gear. Ya, it was bad. We were all taken to the ER by ambulance and given oxygen therapy. Another hour or so and we wouldn't be here to talk about it today. But today it wasn't so bad. Turns out it was the stove. We cooked supper and we thought that the stove was turned off but in fact the knob got turned in the wrong direction and was on low for a few hours. Luckily nothing burned and it just kept the taco meat warm. The fire dept came and checked everything out for us and agreed that it was probably the stove. We were given the all clear and the kiddos went right back to bed. So.....if you don't have a carbon monoxide detector please get one installed in your home. They're fairly inexpensive and could save your life one day. Ok, end of the public service announcement for the day. :)

all is well. :) They actually advised that we get a new monitor as well. Ours is only 3 years old. I didn't know they were supposed to be replaced so often.
